After hearing only positive things about the still semi-new Auden’s Kitchen, I finally had a chance to make my way over to Bruce Auden of Biga on the Banks’ newest restaurant! It definitely lived up to the hype heard and I cannot wait to return! I went on a Sunday afternoon with my 6 year old who enjoys eating as much as I do and we both rated very enthusiastically.

I thought the brunch menu offered an incredible deal because it included 2 drinks (sparkling wine, mimosas, sangria, beers, etc.), a mixed salad, entrée choice, and mixed fruit! Take a second to explore all the menus here.

I actually ordered off the dinner menu – “whole roasted trout” which I thought was fabulous. I did not come across one bone and enjoyed the flavor infused by lemon slices and thyme stuffed cooked inside. The garlicky kale was incredible – great burst of flavor!

My daughter selected the “fried chicken bits” off the “Kids Eats” menu and her first response was, “Wow! I didn’t know bits would be SO big!” This is essentially the buttermilk fried chicken dish offered on the brunch and dinner menu. KFC has nothing on Auden’s fried chicken! She gently suggested ordering my own plate of chicken if I was going to continue eating all of hers. She generously received a drumstick and boneless breast.

Enjoying our meal so much and saving a little bit of room for dessert we happily took our server’s suggestion to try the warm Apple Rhubarb pie with fresh vanilla ice cream made daily.
